Benny Page: "The future for jungle dnb is healthy"

Intervju s jungle/d'n'b producentom

Uoči zagrebačkog nastupa Benny Pagea (Močvara petak 27.5.) donosimo vam kratki intervju. Sutra sve fanove jungle i drum and bass glazbe očekuje vrhunsko partijanje na obali Save. A što je Benny imao za reći, provjerite u nastavku.

Reggae.hr: Please, introduce yourself to Reggae.hr readers.
Benny Page: Hi I am Benny Page.... bass music conesuir.

Reggae.hr:  How and when did you started your music career? Did you started as DJ or producer?
Benny Page: I started as a producer back in 1998 when I started a music technology course with old time freind Zero g.

Reggae.hr:  Drum and bass or dubstep? Wich is your favourite music genre?
Benny Page: I call it roots music.... some call it reggae or dancehall... mostly from the 70's & 80's

Reggae.hr: How did colaboration between you and jungle legend Shy FX started?
Benny Page: The link came thru dj bailey who i sent tunes to at the time... Shy FX heard a tune and got in touch with me.

Reggae.hr:  Wich producer and/or musician made greatest influence on your music?
Benny Page: King Jammy and King Tubby.

Reggae.hr: Why do you use your real name and not, like most of d'n'b and dubstep producers, some kind of artist name?
Benny Page: Couldnot think of anything original at the time so just went with Benny.

Reggae.hr: What is, by your opinion, your greatest success in your musical career?
Benny Page: So far doing remix's for Gyptian and Jessie J.

Reggae.hr: Do you have some plans for the future?
Benny Page: Launching my brand new label in the next few months called High Culture... first release will feature 2 jungle tracks featuring the mighty topcat.. and then followed by two dubstep tunes by myself.

Reggae.hr: Is there any country or city where you would like to perform but you didn't get the chance yet?
Benny Page: New Zealand and South America.

Reggae.hr: What is your vision of the future of jungle and drum and bass music?
Benny Page: The future for jungle dnb is healthy... there are a lot more countrys and citys that are embracing the music now, which means it can only get better.

Reggae.hr: You will visit Croatia two times in short time. Will those be 100% professional visits or you have plans to do some sightseeing?
Benny Page: I normally have no time for sight seeing tbh but if i do i normally take a look around.
